FAQ

This is where you find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the making of our swords, payment, shipping, delivery and more.

  • How do I read the sword specifications?

Total length: The length of the intire sword from the tip of the blade to the end of the pommel.

Blade length: The length of the blade from the tip to where it meets the guard.

CoG: Center of Gravity (also known as Center of Balace). The Center of Gravity is the point along the blade where the sword has equal mass on either side.

CoP: The Center of Percussion is the point along the length of the blade where there is little or no vibration when the blade is struck on an object. When this section of the blade is used in striking, it transmits the least amount of shock and vibration to the user's hand, and also will provide the deepest penetration in a target.

Weight: The total weight of the sword

Grip length: The length of the leather wrapped part of the grip. On the messers the length of the part of the grip covered with wood. Please note that on some swords - like the Constable - it's only the leather covered part measured. But with this sword - and some other models - there is plenty more room on the grip.
